Kavanaugh accuser negotiated testimony in bad faith

Christine Blasey Ford’s attorney negotiated the alleged victim’s testimony to Congress in bad faith because Democrats had assured her, if not colluded with her, that the testimony would never take place.

Late last week, Ford’s attorney, Debra Katz, said that Ford had agreed to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee this Thursday at 10 am. Just days later, stunning, if not credible, new allegations came out accusing Judge Brett Kavanaugh of exposing himself to a woman, Deborah Ramirez, during his freshmen year at Yale. Why did Ramirez suddenly decide to make these allegations public after all this time? Senior Democrat Dianne Feinstein provides the answer:

“I am writing to request an immediate postponement of any further proceedings related to the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh,” Feinstein (D-CA) wrote in a letter to Sen. Charles Grassley (R-IA), the committee’s chairman just after the allegations were made public.

Feinstein likely promised Christine Blasey Ford that she would never have to testify and, hoping to live up to that agreement, found another woman willing to accuse the Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct.

Ramirez’s claims are even flimsier than those of Ford and both women’s credibility is suffering as witnesses they name rebut their stories, recant comments and even liberal journalists fail to find a single person that can back-up their stories. The only person whose story is holding up to scrutiny is Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

That’s why Democrats need to prevent the hearing on Thursday. They cannot have Blasey Ford testify under oath to the facts of her allegations. She hasn’t even bothered to file a simple police report and the only reason, after making her allegations public, to do that is to avoid filing a false criminal complaint – that’s a crime and so are lying to Congress and lying under oath.

So Ramirez isn’t about making it more believable that Kavanaugh is a serial sexual assaulter, it’s about preventing Ford from either perjuring herself or refusing to answer questions which would make Democrats look like idiots. That means Ford and her attorney’s negotiated her appearance in front of Congress Thursday in bad faith.

Ultimately, this is about delaying Kavanaugh’s nomination vote and Grassley must bulldozer through this nonsense and call a vote immediately after the Thursday hearing – whether Ford shows up or not.
