President Donald Trump will hold a Make America Great Again rally in Rochester, Minnesota Thursday evening to support U.S. Senate candidate Karin Housley (R) who is hoping to unseat Democrat incumbent Tina Smith.
Smith holds a 7-point lead in the most recent public poll, but Trump’s endorsement and rallies have pushed candidates over the hump in tight districts. Democrats’ mistreatment of Judge Brett Kavanaugh is not reflected in that poll and their actions have energized the Republican base ahead of the November vote. The event is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. CST and doors will open at 3:30 p.m.
