President Donald Trump holds a Make America Great Again rally in Murphysboro, Illinois Saturday afternoon in support of Rep. Peter Roskam who is in a close race with Democrat challenger Sean Casten.
Roskam has an ultra-slim 1-point lead in the only poll taken of the race. The survey was held in early September and does not reflect the “Kavanaugh Effect” or the bad optics of the Migrant Mob heading towards the U.S. border.
Sean Casten is on-record in support of banning popular firearms, putting all gun owners into a government-run database, and regulating the size of magazines. He is against tax cuts and thinks that the government should spend taxpayer money in hopes of stimulating the economy (porkulus, cash for clunkers, Obama’s stimulus, etc.)
The National Rifle Association gives Casten a failing grade on firearm owner’s rights.
Casten is financed mainly by ideological groups, lawyers, lobbyists and bankers.
