2018 Midterm: House and Senate results [Updated]

House Summary

Democrats won control of the House of Representatives and as the votes continue to be counted (and recounted) they are likely to hold a majority of 30+ seats. There were some districts that were critical to keeping Nancy Pelosi away from the gavel (toss-ups), some that were important (lean GOP) and some that were nice-to-haves (lean DNC). Republicans lost far too many of the toss-up seats, gave up some they should have won in the important table, and took none away from Democrats in the nice-to-have group.

In the Senate, Republicans increased their majority by at least one and possibly two seats.
