CNN has started a series of town halls in which they introduce the left-leaning media outlet’s viewers to the candidates who hope to oppose President Donald Trump in 2020. They aren’t doing very well, according to Nielsen Ratings.
CNN’s Monday night Town Hall with Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) aired from 10 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. and came in third across all viewers and the prized 25 to 54-year-old demographic. This dismal performance comes after last week’s town hall with Howard Schultz also took third among all viewers and the 25-54 crowd.
MSNBC airs “The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell” during the 10 o’clock hour and Fox News Channel shows “The Ingraham Angle.”
The CNN town hall format is widely panned as little more than a really long, obviously-biased interview in which the moderator protects left-leaning candidates and directs attacks at candidates from the right. Even with the thinly-vieled support by CNN, Schultz and Klobuchar have zero chance at beating Trump in 2020.
CNN truly is the last name in news – dead last.
