LAREDO, Texas – Laredo Sector Border Patrol and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) conducted a joint enforcement action that disrupted a stash house operation resulting in the apprehension of several individuals in Laredo, Texas.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:00 p.m. on August 5, when agents received information about suspected illegal aliens being harbored at a residence on Cortez Street in Laredo, Texas. Upon arrival, agents discovered six illegal aliens.
Agents conducted immigration inspections on the people and determined that all were illegally in the United States. The nationalities of the individuals included citizens of Guatemala, Mexico, and Honduras. All of the individuals were found in good health and were processed accordingly.
Human smugglers continue utilizing local homes and businesses as a staging point for illegal immigrants causing a nuisance to the residents of Laredo. Border Patrol asks the community to continue to report suspicious activity and together we can make Laredo an even safer community.
