Bloomberg Drops Out

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced Wednesday that he is suspending his campaign to become the Democratic Party’s nominee for president in 2020.

Bloomberg spent over a half billion dollars of his own money in a bizarre Super Tuesday-only effort to win the nomination.

Ultimately, he failed to buy his way into the nomination and has dropped out of the running.

Bloomberg’s campaign says that the billionaire will endorse Joe Biden for the nomination.

“I’ve always believed that defeating Donald Trump starts with uniting behind the candidate with the best shot to do it. After yesterday’s vote, it is clear that candidate is my friend and a great American, Joe Biden,” he wrote in a statement.
