Black Lives Matter removed a controversial webpage outlining the beliefs of the organization from their site Monday without acknowledgement or explanation.
The now-deleted ‘What We Believe‘ page outlined some of the movement’s key objectives, most notably the disruption of the “Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement.” This morning, when users visited the site, the page was no longer available.
The organization, whose political activism was at one point was more popular than both major political parties, has seen a downward shift in approval ratings in the wake of ongoing riots throughout the summer.
While 66% of Americans oppose the ‘Defund The Police’ movement, Black Lives Matter’s pages calling for the removal of police funding remain operational and a partner organization, Movement For Black Lives, continues to advocate for the abolition of the police and prison system.
The sudden removal was first noted by Daily Wire writer Matt Walsh, who tweeted a screenshot of the deleted page this morning.

Black Lives Matter was founded in the aftermath of the Trayvon Martin shooting in 2013 and rose to prominence during the Ferguson Riots in 2014. The organization’s co-founder previously described Black Lives Matter leaders as “trained marxists.”
