Parler CEO John Matze created a post on Parler expressing his frustration at being blackballed from the internet because Apple, Google, and Amazon’s statements about threats of violence on his platform.
Amazon kicked Parler off of its Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure late Sunday and now other server hosts are shutting it out.
Big Tech’s assertion that Parler is dangerous because of the content posted on the platform is bizarre considering that the January 6th Capitol Building breach was planned on Facebook, not Parler.
Many hosting companies rely on AWS for content delivery and are likely feeling pressure to keep Parler in limbo which puts Amazon’s monopolistic power on full display.
Another key piece of information is that Twitter uses AWS for content delivery and has a vested interest in seeing Parler disappear from the competitive landscape.
