Traveling during the coronavirus pandemic

Countries worldwide are now opening their borders for tourists wishing to enter and reactivate the economy. However, to prevent and mitigate the COVID-19 pandemic, there are new travel requirements to meet the health measure taken for that purpose. Most of these conditions to visit these countries are almost the same. That is why we will explain to you more about the three travel documents that you might have to present.

First, most countries ask their visitors (not only foreigners but also nationals who were abroad) the COVID-19 PCR Test with a negative result. With this document, you will demonstrate you do not carry the disease. It is essential to present it, and some airlines would also ask you to show it if you plan to board in the airplane to prevent any possible infection to other passengers. You must take it in an official laboratory if you want to avoid any possible denial or restriction to enter the country. Immigration authorities take this test very seriously, and they would not accept anyone without this document. Most of the time, they will ask you to take it 72 hours before your trip. Bear in mind that the COVID-19 PCR Test is just for one single entry. In case you present a positive result, you might be asked to remain self-isolated in a hospital or specialized places so you do not infect anyone else with the coronavirus. Other countries would penalize that action because you did not meet the health requisites to enter.

Second, other countries also ask tourists to fill out a Health Declaration to report their medical status. In this document, you provide your information and contact info if needed. Some of these reports can be done online, but not all. That means you will have to do it on your own and you will have to spend a lot of time because it has ambiguous language. If you want to avoid that tedious paperwork and save time, we recommend you to use [iVisa.com], a travel agency that makes all your procedures less complicated. You will have experts who will be ready to help you whenever you need it.

On the other side, you may also be asked to remain in quarantine. As we mentioned earlier, some countries allow tourists with a positive result in the COVID-19 PCR Test the possibility to enter. However, some others would ask you to stay in self-isolation to see if you do not get infected when you took the test and your arrival in the country. Most of the time, they ask you to stay in quarantine for two weeks to see any possible evolution.

As we mentioned already, you may also have to apply for any possible eVisa such as the ETIAS. If that is the case and you don’t have extra time to complete long questionnaires, we recommend you iVisa.com. They have one of the best services that you can imagine. That is how you can achieve your dreams of traveling during the coronavirus pandemic.
