Free Speech? Not in the Military

Members of the Military will go to war to ensure Americans can enjoy all of our God-Given Rights. Freedom of Speech was so important to our forefathers that they chose to protect it with our First Amendment. It is unfortunate that those protectors of our rights do not enjoy the same.

A Space Force lieutenant colonel has been removed from his Command after appearing on a conservative podcast criticizing the United States military. Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier joined The Steve Gruber show to discuss his new book, “Irresistible Revolution: Marxism’s Goal of Conquest & the Unmaking of the American Military.” Lohmeier alleges that Marxist ideologies are becoming widespread within the armed forces. He is concerned about the spread of Marxism as well as Critical Race Theory and the 1619 Project.

The Military claims to be concerned with officers expressing radical thoughts that contrast with the Military’s beliefs and teachings. You would think that teaching Critical Race Theory, slavery and the 1619 Project, and Marxism would be radical. Not so. In this case, radical thinking is not agreeing with these beliefs. We have entered Bizarro World, and it does not feel good.

According to the Biden Administration, the world deserves to have a contrarian viewpoint but not in the Military. In one respect, the Military needs to be unified as divisiveness can lead to morale issues that will impact their ability to defend us. In this case, the people deciding to teach these radical beliefs are the ones that need to be reeled in or removed. Looking at this case objectively, Lt. Colonel Lohmeier is a whistleblower to a situation that we should all be aware. Where is the protection for a whistleblower by the Democrats and Biden, specifically? This group ensured that any whistleblower who had something to say about the Trump administration had every protection available. That protection is lost under Biden, and nobody on the Left is coming to the defense of the Lt. Colonel.

Critical Race Theory, Marxism, and the 1619 Project, just like Racism, have no place in the Military. They also have no position in any level of our Education System unless it is to debunk them. Unfortunately, these are being taught at levels as low as Elementary and with the support of the AFT (American Federation of Teachers). This is drawing intense criticism from parents, and this is what we need. Our Education System can be controlled by the power and unity of parents speaking up. People are waking up and becoming involved. This is the worst-case scenario for the Biden Team and anyone supporting the indoctrination of the young through education. But I digress.

Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier needs to be protected. Not just for him but the protection of Free Speech for everyone, Military or civilian. As the Woke or Cancel Culture continues to chip away at our rights, they will gain momentum if not checked. Speech, Gun, Voting, and Assembly are all under attack. Lohmeier has lost his Command but is still a member of the Space Force. He is still under the control of the Military but still has the Rights of an American. Let’s make sure he can preserve them for him and us.
