Why Do Jewish Voters Still Back Democrats?

Like the Black Vote, the Democrats have had a stranglehold on Jewish Voters for decades. Why? Why do Jewish voters continue to back politicians who are openly deserting Israel and the alliance we have had with them since their creation as a recognized country in 1948. There has to be an unveiling of the true beliefs of today’s Democrats.

First, we need to look at the actual way that Jewish Voters cast their votes in Presidential elections. It is staggering to look at the gap between the percentages of Democrat VS Republican votes. In the last twenty years, there have been some very close elections. The Bush / Gore election in 2000 was determined by hanging chads. The Jewish vote, however, was quite different. The Jewish vote was 79% to 19% in favor of Gore. Even in 2020, where the actual vote tally was close, the Jewish support was 76% to 22% for Biden. Biden is not rewarding that support.

The actions of recent Presidents have not been favorable to Israel. Obama was not a fan of Benjamin Netanyahu, and his support, along with Biden’s, of Iran was a slap to the safety and security of Israel. On the contrary, Donald Trump was a huge supporter of Israel, including moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem. Previous Presidents had promised this move for years. Despite this support, Jewish voters rewarded him with only 22% of their votes. It just does not make sense.

The conflict between Israel and the terrorist group Hamas, which has been happening for the last couple of weeks, has shown the true colors of Democrats. Israel is responding to missile attacks by Hamas militants in Gaza. Israel is defending itself, and when doing so in the past, they had support from America.

Of course, The Squad is in full support of Hamas and the Palestinians, but to see at least 54 members of Congress turn their backs on Israel, including Bernie Sanders and Chuck Schumer, is alarming and disgusting. Even Joe Biden all but gave Israel an ultimatum on Wednesday to stop the shelling of Gaza.

Here are two comments by Squad Members to show just how ignorant they are on what is happening to Israel. Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN) called Israel’s counterstrikes that successfully took out Hamas terrorists “an act of terrorism” and called for Israel’s defense of its citizens to be condemned. Rashida Tlaib chimed in: American taxpayer money is being used to commit human rights violations. Congress must condition the aid we send to Israel, and end it altogether if those conditions are not followed. Statements aren’t working @SecBlinken. 

These actions and words show how the Democrats view and respect Israel. It is time for the Jewish People in America to open their eyes and see that it is the Republicans who have their backs and those of Israel. It is Republicans that deserve their supports and, more importantly, their votes.
