Thanks Democrats: Minnesota Children Three Times More Likely To Be Killed By Gang Violence Than Covid

Beginning in March of last year, the most recent count of Covid deaths involving Minnesota minors stands at three. Broken down by group, one child was between the ages of 0-4 and two others were between the ages 5-9. Not a single child between the ages of 10-18 has been recorded to have died from Covid complications.

Don’t get me wrong, I am not wishing for a higher body count; I am merely observing the disconnect between narrative and reality.  Given the tremendous fear porn, one might expect more than just three deaths among the 1.3 million young people aged 0-18.

Nevertheless, despite the absolute safety of children from Covid repercussions, the response by craven politicians and the politicized medical establishment has been to demand months-long school closures and universal masking for three-year-olds and vaccinated staff. The party of science strikes again.

At the same time, a more real risk to Minnesota children, specifically urban black children, is death by shooting via gang violence. According to the database Gun Violence Archive, in 2021 alone at least five reported gang-related shootings have left six children dead. A seventh – a ten-year-old boy – remains in a coma. In 2020, at least three children were shot and killed in gang-related violence. Unknowable is the extent of neglect and abuse that traumatizes countless young people.

To date, Black Lives Matter has not commented on a single one. Unlike police precincts, the homes of known thugs and killers have not been targeted by angry mobs with protests and projectiles. There has been no call for ending a judicial system that allows violent criminals to return to the streets. There have been no chants demanding we “say their names.” But their names are important. Here are the names and stories of the young people shot and killed by Democrat-enabled, but not Democrat-mourned, gang violence in just 2021.

It is worth repeating that these cross-fired children account for more deaths than all of Covid. In addition to the shooting deaths, other headlines from the Minneapolis area reveal a nine-month-old baby survived being shot in the head and a three-year-old boy was placed in critical condition after being shot in the femoral artery. Missing from all of this data entirely are dead gang members under the age of 18 killed in action. This list only includes innocent victims.

Now, we know how Governor Tim Walz and his voting base would like to respond to Covid. They want to mandate masks, vaccinations and lockdowns for all free citizens. Data and research show that none of this is particularly required nor effective, and these actions are certainly not within the purview of state and national constitutions, yet there is momentum for such overreach.

Will Walz and his ilk respond to these shootings? They haven’t in decades, so it seems unlikely they’ll start now. If lockdowns and medical interventions are being sought for innocent, law-abiding citizens against a virus that doesn’t threaten them, then at the very least Democrats should be on board with lockdowns and medical interventions for violent, soulless criminals. How about mandatory prison time and castration? These animals that engage in child-killing behaviors could do with a little less testosterone and confinement behind bars so that the rest of society can function decently. At this point, I’d settle for just one of those options.

If Tim Walz and other Democrats cared about kids, then they would permit schools to reopen and they would deny freedom to people who have proven they can’t respect it.

As always, the moral of the story is that black lives don’t matter when snuffed out by another black. However, one day when a stray police bullet finds a tiny black body, the world will erupt in flames.
