de Blasio Doubles Down on Vaccine Mandate: Get it or Go Broke

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is going all-in on vaccine authoritarianism by requiring all city workers to get vaccinated or be sent home without pay, according to a New York Post report.

While other cities, states and organizations have allowed employees to participate in regular testing in place of the vaccine, de Blasio will not.

“As we continue our recovery for all of us, city workers have been a daily inspiration,” de Blasio said in a statement. “Now is the time for them to show their city the path out of this pandemic once and for all.”

This new order does not appear to allow for religious or medical exemptions. It’s Bill’s way or the highway, even if a doctor has told you not to get the vaccine due to health issues.

While corrections officers are given until Dec. 1 to get their first shot, all other city workers must get their first dose by October 29 or be put on unpaid leave.
