Another day, another reason to remove your children from the public school system as soon as humanly possible.
Donald “Happy” Mobelini, principal of Hazard High School in Hazard, Ky., who also serves as the city’s mayor, is now under investigation by the school district after photos of himself and other male faculty members receiving lap dances from male students in lingerie went viral on Tuesday.
According to the New York Post:
This was reportedly part of a “man pageant” that was held at a homecoming event, which also saw female students in Hooters uniforms and boys being paddled, photos of which were uploaded to the Hazard High School Athletic Department’s official Facebook page.
The Post reports:
A Kentucky school district is investigating after a teenage boy gave lap dances to his high school principal and other staff members during a homecoming event.
The most eyebrow-raising pics show a teen dancing seductively near Donald “Happy” Mobelini, who is both principal of Hazard High School and the city’s mayor.
The administrator is standing with a big grin on his face, while the boy — clad in a black dress — bends over in front of him, photos show. The same teen is also pictured with the dress pulled down below his stomach, as he danced shirtless for other adults in a gym.
“Public education is under so much fire right now. This kind of stuff is not helpful. In fact, it’s disgusting. It appears they are sexualizing young adults,” Nema Brewer, who originally posted the photos to Twitter, later told the Lexington Herald-Reader.
According to Hazard Independent Schools superintendent Sondra Combs, the photographed incidents are now under investigation.
Mobelini has a history of questionable behavior around students — he has previously been investigated for two separate incidents wherein students consumed alcohol under his supervision.
