White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki held a briefing Monday during which she answered a question about China’s seeming superiority in intercontinental hypersonic missile technology.
“We welcome stiff competition,” Psaki responded. “But, we do not want that competition to veer into conflict.”
Psaki then responded to a question about the administration’s failure to get presidential nominations completed by blaming Senate obstruction despite the terrible candidates being put forward. Biden’s picks include an anti-gun zealot to lead the ATF (now since withdrawn), a former enviro-terrorist to the Bureau of Land Management (confirmed), and a Marxist for comptroller of the currency (still under Senate consideration).
Some, already in their positions aren’t very good at them. Right Mayor Pete?
The press secretary also continued to push the lie that the IRS $600 reporting requirement was only about the wealthiest 1%. Whether you are a hedge fund manager or a rookie at starbucks, you will receive or spend enough to have $600 go through your account in any month or year. This is about a state-run financial surveillance of the population. Once they see what you spend money on, they’ll know what to tax next.
The rest of the briefing consisted of predictable questions and responses on illegal immigration, the Supreme Court Commissions’ discussion notes, and the president’s unpopular and now-stalled agenda.
