I, uh.. WHAT the H-E-Double Hockey Sticks is this?
John Lewis Home Insurance, in the United Kingdom, launched an ad showing a young boy, wearing a dress and makeup, trashing his families house while his mother and sister just watched.
I’m not sure what the significance of the “Edge of Seventeen” from Stevie Nicks is, as the kid looks to pre-teen at best, but I digress.
This is the worst advertisement for home insurance I can imagine. Willful destruction by a family member is likely not covered, and if Lewis is advertising that they would then their underwriters must be having conniption fits after this public mess.
Even the LGBTQ+other-letters group should have problems with this virtue-signaling disaster as it shows what appears to be a transgender, gender-confused, gender-neutral – or whatever the new term is – boy displaying destructive behavior.
For the male toxicity drones, this is a male destroying property while submissive females sit by. He is the patriarchy… or something.
The rest of us just think this is a confused, spoiled little brat doing what spoiled brats do when the parents aren’t willing to lay the hammer down.
Whichever group you align with – how would this ad get you to buy their products?
