Hey Democrats: The Pandemic is Over

I don’t want to bury the lead, so I’ll say it upfront. The Pandemic is over. Covid-19 is dead. The Omicron strain marks the end of a two-year ordeal that every American wants to forget. So why the lock-downs? Why the Mandates? Why the panic? Well, that is the real story so let’s get to it.

Joe Biden and the Democrat machine is broken down in a ditch by the side of the road. Build Back Better is dead, and so is the platform of the Biden Presidency. Joe Biden is the biggest failure to occupy the White House since Jimmy and Rosalyn moved in in January of 1977. Jimmy Carter may be the only man thrilled that Joe Biden was elected in America. Jimmy Carter is no longer the worst American President ever.

Only two things can be done when the administration is going up in flames. You either create a distraction or create such a disaster that you can take control of the people. The Democrats have one situation that satisfies both needs. That savior for the Left is called Omicron. Omicron is the third generation of Covid, with each progression getting weaker and less deadly. That is the upside. The downside with each variant is faster and wider distribution. That is why we see the record number of cases and the high percentage of positivity. We see deaths. The majority are the elderly or those with pre-existing health concerns that make them vulnerable. Many of these people are vaccinated.

I have to confess that I am more cynical daily of the vaccinations, boosters, masks, and anything else being pushed by the President or the CDC. Get vaccinated. Get a booster, Get another booster and still test positive. The CDC prefers Pfizer and Moderna over J&J, but all have side effects impacting different age groups differently. Towns and states are re-enacting Mask Mandates, and it won’t be long before schools go virtual. We have gone Groundhog Day on steroids. My local town board reimplemented a city-wide mask mandate for the next three months. It was a unanimous decision both in vote and pride of being one of the first towns in New Hampshire to slap us with a mandate. So Woke, so proud. Put restrictions on your constituents so you can pat your back for being first. Maybe not necessary, but first. It is disappointing that we have these people controlling our actions.

Professional sports are handling the Pandemic differently. The NFL has opted to test only non-vaccinated. This decision was due to many positive results from asymptomatic players. These players are no danger to themselves or others. The NHL has taken a four-day break. A four-day break from what? Does that mean we will be out of trouble five days from now? Who makes these irrational decisions?

The issue here is we have people in charge who are more concerned with clicks, tweets, and poll numbers than making sound decisions. They are more concerned with their power grip on the people of this country rather than the freedom and well-being of the same. The most powerful person in the country, if not the world, might be Dr. Anthony Fauci, and he has shown over the last two years that his narcissism is far more important than the facts. He is the highest-paid person in the Federal government, and he is not doing his job.

We will never get to zero risk on the Pandemic. There is nothing in life with no risk. It is up to each person to weigh the risk, how it impacts them and theirs, and make their own decision. That is what freedom is all about. Personal freedom built this country and the Normal we want to return.
