Perhaps President Biden was just saying the quiet part out loud when he said over a hot microphone that inflation was a positive thing as America heads into the 2022 mid-term elections.
Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy yelled out the question, “Do you think inflation is a political liability in the midterms?” The president didn’t hesitate and responded, “That’s a great asset – more inflation.” He then called Doocy a “stupid son of a bitch” for having asked a question about inflation during a press spray about a meeting Biden was having on inflation.
The media and public widely criticized former President Trump for lashing out at reporters with “mean tweets.” Biden appears to favor lashing out in-person.
Earlier during the event, a different reporter asked a question about the situation in Ukraine. The president then complained that someone had asked him a question about anything other than inflation.
“The only reason I don’t like doing this is that you never report on why I called a meeting and this is really important,” Biden scolded.
So, apparently, it is not acceptable to ask questions either on-topic or off-topic, unless you ask only questions Biden likes.
