Russia invaded Ukraine late Wednesday and as the conflict enters its second day, fighting is occurring near Kyiv (Kiev), Chernobyl, Sumy, Kherson, Melitopol, and more.

At 10:02 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022, a most pertinent tweet appeared: “Now war begins.”
