Tulane University is hosting more than 20 sex-themed events throughout the week of Valentine’s Day, according to the school’s website.
The events include a “Genital Diversity Gallery,” a showcase of “anatomically exact” models of genitalia, including “assigned-male, assigned-female, intersex, trans, and with voluntary or forced surgeries.” The project aims to “destigmatize genitals and celebrate the diversity of bodies that exist.”
The Queer Student Alliance group at the school will host a discussion of polygamous relationships, including “polyamory and ethical non-monogamy.”
The Office of Multicultural Affairs and The Well for Health Promotion are offering “Yoga For Better Sex” as part of an ongoing “Treat Yourself” series that includes free weekly massages.
The Newcomb Institute, which focuses on gender equality, is hosting two sessions of the “Wheel of Fornication,” an opportunity to learn statistics about sex and sexuality.
A “BDSM 101” event will be hosted by the “Gender Exploration Society,” and other events include “Black Bodies Need Love Too,” “Sexy Bingo,” “Sex Ed Quickie” and “Reimagining Intimacy at the Intersections of Race, Disability, Gender & Sexuality.”
The opening event Monday evening will feature free food, sex toys and condom kits.
