How To Talk Without Saying Anything… Kamala Harris Strikes Again [VIDEO]

Of all occupations, politicians seem to be the most adept at stringing long sentences together that don’t really mean anything. Certain preachers and journalists can be pretty good at it, but long-time elected officials tend to set the bar.

While Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Texas gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke can sometimes giver her a run for her money, no one is more prolific than Vice-President Kamala Harris when it comes to speeches featuring incoherent blabbering. And we saw another great example yesterday.

While appearing at an event in Louisiana on Monday to promote the Administration’s investment – that’s code for wasting taxpayer money – in affordable broadband access, our Vice-President decided to go into a lecture on the space-time continuum. Or maybe it was about clocks. Perhaps you can figure it out, take a look:

There were multiple speakers that took to the podium prior to Harris yesterday. She was the big name on the schedule, which is what we should expect when the Vice-President of the world’s most powerful nation makes an appearance. But could there be anyone who wasn’t scratching their head when she went off on this spiel?

“We were talking about the significance of the passage of time. So, when you think about it, there is great significance to the passage of time in terms of what we need to do to lay these wires, and what we need to do to create these jobs. And there is such great significance to the passage of time when we think about a day in the life of our children, and what that means to the future of our nation.”

Um, OK… if you say so.

What we can’t appreciate when merely reading the text of Harris’ comments is her body language. That creepy smile as she scans the room’s audience, or her nodding head as she attempts to coax concurrence from them. Kamala Harris is clearly committed to the message she’s sending, the problem is, there is no message being sent.

It’s possible that Harris is trying to convey a profound thought. Scores of philosophers, including both Plato and Aristotle, have wrestled with the abstruseness of time and how it relates to human existence. It’s a complex topic. But it’s unlikely that Harris can even spell Aristotle let alone articulate his ideas. So what, exactly, was she trying to say?

Kamala Harris is clearly in over her head. She has no business being our vice-president. She has neither the experience nor the skill set nor the intellect to be in her position, and when she’s in these situations she appears to try so hard to legitimize herself. To prove that she belongs. But she doesn’t. Next time, Madam Vice-President, remember these words from the great Talking Heads song, Psycho Killer:

“You’re talking a lot, but you’re not saying anything. When I have nothing to say, my lips are sealed.”

Those are words to live by, Kamala. And when it comes to the ‘significance of the passage of time,’ we can’t help but lament the utter waste of time it is to listen to you speak.
