The New York Times Failed America … Again

Most of you have already heard that the ‘Old Grey Lady’ screwed the pooch … again. This time, they failed to properly investigate the Hunter Biden laptop story or the Biden family’s self-enrichment from foreign nations thanks to Joe’s office in the White House. But hey! Now, the Times wants to get the story right.

“People familiar with the investigation said prosecutors had examined emails between Mr. Biden, Mr. Archer and others about Burisma and other foreign business activity,” the Times writes. “Those emails were obtained by The New York Times from a cache of files that appears to have come from a laptop abandoned by Mr. Biden in a Delaware repair shop. The email and others in the cache were authenticated by people familiar with them and with the investigation.”

In October of 2020, the New York Times threw shade on the laptop story by casting doubt that one meeting happened and then quoting Democratic officials who claimed it was Russian disinformation.

The New York Post published a piece on the laptop that social media immediately threw into the memory hole. Then, major new anchors like Leslie Stahl laughed off the actual scandal as a nothing burger.

So, yeah. Hunter’s laptop is real. The emails have been authenticated and there are serious issues concerning President Joe Biden’s vulnerability with foreign powers who have given his family massive amounts of money.

But, that issue is out in the open. What’s important to take from this is that the New York Times is now admitting that it failed America just before an election. Had NYT investigated and reported this story in October of 2020, we wouldn’t have the bumbling mess of a president we have now.

To be fair, it wasn’t just the Times. NPR, The Washington Post, LA Times, ABC, CBS, NBC, and a cadre of other card-carrying DNC propaganda outlets let the country down. Their journalists blew it. Their editors blew it. They all blew it.

None of them should ever again be trusted with stories of national significance. They are no longer the fourth estate, they are just supermarket rags trying to sell subscriptions, but only to a certain segment of the country.

This should have been the story of the decade. Other than Miranda Devine, the New York Post, and Fox News who got the story right? None of them.

The New York Times’ sudden admission is too late for a nation suffering under terrible policies, a world suddenly in tatters, and an economy no one can afford.

Perhaps, it’s time to put the old grey mare out to pasture – it failed America… again.
