The second film in the Avatar storyline has a trailer out – 13 years after the first film hit theaters.
Avatar: The Way of Water, directed and co-written by James Cameron is set on Pandora more than a decade after the original. Jake and Neytiri have three Na’vi children and an adopted human child.
The trailer reveals that familiar threats, Colonel Miles Quaritch (Stephen Lang) and the Resources Development Administration (RDA) have returned to finish what they started.
But, you say, how is that possible after Neytiri put two giant arrows into him which ended his life? When Lang was asked about his character in the sequels, he responded that “Nothing is over while I have DNA,” suggesting a clone.
Avatar: The Way of Water is scheduled to release in December 2022 and three more sequels are currently planned.
