An IDF Spokesman said early Wednesday local time that Israel is fighting on three fronts and has taken significant casualties due to attacks from Hamas and Hezbollah.
Lt. Colonel Jonathan Conricus said that Hamas and Hezbollah, both Iranian-funded militant groups, have killed at least 1,200 Israelis and injured another 2,700.
Col. Conricus also talked about the several hundred targets the Israeli Air Force hit inside Gaza.
“What we have been doing from the air over the last hours and an entire day is striking Hamas targets with great power and severity,” he said. “Hamas locates all of their office, headquarters, research and development and all of their other military assets – if it’s above ground – in civilian buildings.”
“Hamas, being the cowards that they are,” he continued, “wants to disguise itself as civilians and they use civilian buildings for military purposes.”
“Which makes it a legitimate military target,” Conricus added.
The IDF spokesman also mentioned that Hezbollah attempted to attack Israel from Libya and another attack came from Syria. Both attacks have been repelled.
