Lady Justice Has Been Caught Peeking – Conservative View from New Hampshire

Lady Justice is the personification of our Justice System. Our judicial system has been the envy of the free world. The Lady is always depicted with a blindfold or her eyes closed to symbolize the belief that our court system uses the facts and the law to determine a defendant’s fate regardless of the individual before the Court. Blind Justice has always been a cornerstone of this grand experiment designed by our brilliant forefathers over two hundred years ago. These exceptional individuals who gathered to craft our Democratic Republic also had the foresight to envision how man could corrupt the system. Still, they would be aghast at what our country has become. Benjamin Franklin said we had a “Republic, if we can keep it.” Franklin knew America needed balance to survive, and it could quickly go awry.

Our Government is not a machine but a collection of independent thinking men and women. Most of the government roles are apolitical, but the other sector, political appointees, have a blurred allegiance. Their focus may lean toward a political ideology, not a general good or purpose. Our Department of Justice has been the victim of this dilemma, maybe never more so than during the Biden Administration. The Courts and our Intelligence Community’s activities, which fall under the Justice umbrella, have contributed significantly to the division in today’s America. The weaponization of the FBI and CIA against Americans and political foes and the unequal application of the law have never been so blatant.

We have watched in dismay how Joe Biden has used the power of the Justice Department to attempt not just to neutralize Donald Trump but destroy him and his family. Because Trump is so polarizing, the Left and media have cheered the efforts while the Right has condemned them. Multiple courts have conspired to concoct over 90 indictments against the former President and current candidate that carry the potential for hundreds of years of imprisonment. This week, Justice announced it would not be charging Joe Biden for any of his violations of confidential documents. Most of the charges against Trump stem from handling confidential documents from his Presidency. There is no question about the legality of having these documents because he was the President. As a Senator and Vice President, Joe Biden had no legal right to possess any confidential documents. Joe Biden is getting a pass while the system is beating down Trump.

Whichever side of the aisle you support, this perversion of the Justice Department should concern you. If one Party can use it in the way Biden has, the Right can do it when they sit behind the desk. It is not just the treatment of Trump or the pass given to the entire Biden Cartel. It is the way the FBI went after parents at school board meetings or spying on Catholics during their services. This practice started with Obama, who even used the IRS to punish the opposition. With the Biden Presidency being an extension of Obama’s two terms, it is understandable they would continue abusing power.

We, the people, have a choice. We can unite and stop this weaponization of Government, or we can sit back when it is our side committing the sin and squawk like hell when the other side is pulling the strings like a puppeteer.
