Former Clinton Pollster Says Harris’ ‘Inauthenticity’ Is ‘The Larger Problem She Faces’ In Election

Former Clinton pollster Doug Schoen said Tuesday on a podcast that Vice President Kamala Harris’ “inauthenticity” is her major problem as Election Day approaches.

Polls between former president Donald Trump and Harris have tightened, with Trump slightly ahead across several battleground states, according to RealClearPolitics polling averages. On “The Megyn Kelly Show,” SiriusXM’s Megyn Kelly criticized Harris’ record as “not impressive,” to which Schoen agreed, noting that voters appear to also share a similar view.

“Yea I don’t think there’s anything, Megyn, about her record that is particularly impressive. I think more generally what I see in the polls is that voters are beginning to understand that there’s really no there, there with Kamala Harris,” Schoen began. “Whether it be her record as a law student, as a lawyer, as a prosecutor, as an attorney general. There doesn’t appear to be any overarching argument she can make other than, ‘I’m the same as Joe Biden and whatever positions I’ve taken that are unpopular I’m only too happy to alter to fit the political climate.’”

“So what I see, Megyn, is a problem that goes beyond integrity to inauthenticity, which I think as election day approaches is actually the larger issue that she faces. Because voters are seeing that there’s no record, there’s no agenda for the future and there’s no sense of character about her that gives people real confidence,” Schoen concluded.

Democrats appear increasingly concerned about the 2024 election outcome, with pundits warning that Harris has been losing ground with key voting blocs like Hispanics and black men, making the race in November likely very close.

In response, Harris introduced the “Opportunity Agenda for Black Men” on Oct. 14, which proposes giving $20,000 loans to 1 million black entrepreneurs and others who faced barriers to starting or growing businesses.

At a Pennsylvania rally on Oct. 10, Harris brought former President Barack Obama on stage, but his message received pushback after he scolded undecided voters.
