Give Me One Story They Were Right On

People on the Left defend the legacy media and put down FOX News as Right Wing Propaganda. These Socialist Wannabes tell us all the time that we have the facts wrong and are fed misinformation while listening to The Five, Outnumbered, Hannity, Watters, and even Levin. You can go back further into the Obama years, but over the last eight years, the track record could not be more opposite. After all the facts have been revealed, FOX News has a very high accuracy rate and could push 100%, while the legacy media, MSNBC and CNN, tend to come up on the wrong side of accuracy. When formulating my thoughts for this piece, I contemplated the media’s impact on the public and voters. I believe its effect is lessening each year, especially on the mainstream side. It may have peaked and begun its death spiral in 2020 with the Hunter Biden Laptop. Most people realize that had that story been released, it would have cost Joe Biden millions of votes and possibly swung the election to Donald Trump. Instead, the mainstream media denied the laptop’s existence, any of the insidious behavior of Hunter Biden, and the connection and corruption of Hunter, Joe, and all of the Biden family. It was malpractice, irresponsible, and, in effect, election interference to avoid reporting on the laptop and Hunter’s behavior.

The historically low favorability of media—according to Gallup, only 31% of Americans have any confidence that the press is reporting the news “fully, accurately, and fairly”—has new validity: the failure to see the creeping red wave that showed Trump gaining voters in over 90% of America’s more than 3000 counties. Kamala Harris is the first Democrat candidate not to flip a single Congressional district in over 100 years. It is just another dubious factoid for Kamala, the candidate who had this election all sewed up, or so the media wanted us to think.

Immediately after the election, heads of CNN and MSNBC both announced significant layoffs, including on-air personalities. MSNBC and CNBC are also on the market for new owners, as Comcast has seen enough of the dissolving share of viewers. Most shows on MSNBC and CNN have seen drops as high as 47-48% since the election, proof that people are beginning to realize how strong the bias is and how weak the truth is on mainstream cable news.

On MSNBC, Rachel Maddow conceded in her new contract, reducing her salary from $30 to $25 Million for one show a week. She could have cut it in half to mirror her declining audience, but it still would not have been sufficient. She may be the face of the network, but she may prove to be expendable at that price. Joe and Mika requested and were granted time with Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago and have been the target of intense criticism from every corner of the media. They dared to go into the enemy’s camp and are now pariahs.

Many say that TV News became entertainment with the advent of 24/7 cable. FOX shows that is not necessarily true, but msm rewrote the news to fit their narrative. They made a deal with the devil, in this case, the Left Machine, and it is now time to pay up. The news media needs a balance of views, but not at the expense of the truth. Time will tell whether it is too late for redemption for legacy networks.
