Fox News senior White House correspondent Peter Doocy was involved in another on-air altercation with a bird on the White House grounds Monday.
Doocy was reporting on President Donald Trump’s order to re-open the one-time federal penitentiary at Alcatraz Island in California when he began to duck. “America’s Newsroom” co-host Dana Perino, a former White House press secretary, noticed Doocy was moving during the live report.
“Peter, are you dodging birds again?” Perino asked, with Doocy shouting while ducking the avian assailant, “There is a bird! Yes, I am! I don’t know, I need to, like, shave my head! What’s going on?”

“It’s because you’re so tall and cute,” Perino responded, with Doocy shooting back, “Send the birds to Alcatraz!”
Doocy previously had to fight off a bird during an April 11 appearance on “Fox and Friends” to discuss tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump on China and a water dispute with Mexico when a pigeon appeared to land on him, prompting Doocy to shout, “It landed on my head!”
After the initial incident, Doocy reported Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum’s team texted him promising an investigation into the matter.
“A couple of minutes ago, I got a text about that from the Interior Secretary’s team and they say that they’ve deployed all assets from the park service and fish and wildlife to figure out what’s going on,” Doocy told Perino and then-guest host Martha MacCallum on “America’s Newsroom” hours after the April 11 avian altercation. “So, we will be standing by here at the scene of the crime for that.”
“You have to wonder if other networks are sending the birds,” Interior Department press secretary Charlotte Taylor told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
The White House did not respond to a request for comment from the DCNF about the second incident.
