If you thought the cover-up of Joe Biden’s declining health was bad, you should take a look at how a Democrat-media complex covers racism.
When Donald Trump called out South African President Cyril Ramaphosa over his country’s toleration of public prouncements to exterminate white Afrikaner farmers, every single media outlet last seen lying about Biden immediately proclaimed Trump’s accusations as false.
Trump knew the media malfeasance would quickly kick in, so he cleverly made reporters, along with the visiting delegation, sit through a video of South African politician Julius Malema and his Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party chanting “Kill the Boer!”, “Kill the farmer!”, “Shoot to kill!.”
Lovely.
This is not speech or the policy positions of a small ‘marginalized’ political movement—it is, at the least, an ‘intentional infliction of emotional distress’ (actionable in most countries) and, at worst, to the degree the threats are carried out, genocide.
Everyone understands this, including golfing greats Ernie Els and Retief Goosen, who confirmed the worst elements in their home country during the Oval Office gathering. But legacy media has refused to cover the issue ever since extremists in the African National Congress (ANC) condoned the ‘necklacing’ of anyone who stood in the way of expropriating the land.
Winnie Mandela, ANC’s most prominent activist and lionized by an obsequious American press corps for decades, once proudly proclaimed, “together, hand in hand, with our boxes of matches and our necklaces we shall liberate this country.”
Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau cited the “Kill the Boer” movement as well as the Expropriation Act seizing land from white farmers without compensation as factors which led the Trump administration to prioritize the Afrikaners newfound refugee status.
If you listen to the ANC’s apologists, however, it’s all recompense for the “inescapable reality of white and patriarchal dominance in the economy.” Precisely the same thing you hear from BLM, Antifa and the Democrat caucus these days when they talk about ‘reparations.’
Listen to Senator Tim Kaine who has never seen a refugee admissions program he didn’t want to expand. Except apparently for white Christians in South Africa.
His testy exchange with Marco Rubio started with the Secretary of State explaining that refugees are not ‘entitled’ but ‘allowed’ to enter our country. It ended with Rubio pointing out the obvious about the Virginia Senator, “You don’t like that they’re White.”
Considering refugee admissions long ago “shifted to more diverse populations across the globe,” it’s hard to see how the admission of 59 South African farmers does much of anything to shift the balance. Besides, the kind of ‘well-founded fear of political persecution’ the Afrikaners are experiencing is precisely what asylum was originally intended for.
At least until then-Senator Biden got a hold of it in 1980.
There’s no getting around it, Kaine’s opposition to a small number of white South Africans being granted refugee status is rooted in racism—but it’s the kind that’s not only tolerated but promoted.
Rubio, of course, wasn’t justifying apartheid in South Africa anymore than he would Jim Crow in America. A two-tiered justice system should be universally condemned. So why are Democrats taking issue with what Mr. Els had to say—“two wrongs don’t make a right.”
Average incomes of white South Africans are still higher than their black countrymen, but the ANC (which lost its three-decade majority status last year) has made things demonstrably worse. Surprising voices are now openly debating whether life was better in South Africa (or independent Zimbabwe, formerly the British colony of Rhodesia) after the ‘transition’ compared to before?
To be sure, most victims of crime in South Africa are still black, as Ramaphosa pointed out to President Trump. The same holds true in America, due to black-on-black crime—which begs the question, why ‘defund the police’ when it hurts minorities most?
Yet the scourge of intra-racial crime notwithstanding, the likelihood of white on black crime is still far below that of black on white. As I said at the time of roaming flash mobs, “the chances today of a gang of KKK members beating up a black kid are remote compared to the opposite. A gang of black on white crime.”
Years later, after the first family of Minnesota regaled in the smell of ‘burning tires’ during the Floyd mayhem, Biden would continue to fan the flames of falsehood by declaring white supremacy as the nation’s “most dangerous terrorist threat.”
To this day, five years after the carnage in the Twin Cities and the nationwide crime wave that followed, a Democrat-media complex and the corporate cowards (especially in Minnesota) that fund it won’t let go of rationalizing violence on the basis of the ‘white privilege.’
There has been no apology, no accountability. Most of the charges in George Soros’ urban America have been dropped against the litany of self-righteous perpetrators suffering under the yoke of perpetual ‘systemic racism.’
Like apartheid, it too can never go away.
In fact, the rage against ‘whiteness’ is now so ingrained that biracial sports reporter Sage Steele was accused of not being ‘black enough.’ Superstar Catlain Clark, when she’s not selling tickets for the WNBA, is being openly targeted and trolled by fellow players for being a scared, little “White girl running away from the fade [fight].”
What’s next? Ilhan Omar refusing to condemn a vicious ‘hate crime’ murder of two Israeli Embassy employees?²⁴ Well, yes.
After all, in 2018 she suggested that we “should be more fearful of white men across our country because they are actually causing most of the deaths within this country”?²⁵
‘Kill the Boer’ can’t be far behind.
