Can The “Blueing” Of America Be Stopped

I moved from Massachusetts to New Hampshire in 1983 because I wanted to raise my family in a safer, less restrictive, conservative, and more affordable environment for my children. I came to New Hampshire because it offered an alternative to the life I grew up in in Massachusetts. Unfortunately, many more people took the same journey from Massachusetts to New Hampshire, but they wanted to change New Hampshire to be more like the state they had left. I fear that the latter scenario has been happening much more frequently in recent decades as the United States population has shifted. There has been significant migration from Blue states, such as New York, California, Michigan, and Illinois, to more conservative states, including Florida, Texas, and Tennessee. The problem with this current migration is that these people are not assimilating into their new locales, but they are bringing with them the philosophies of the states they abandoned and forcing them onto their new host states.

Digging deeper into the changes in New England over the last forty years gives a good insight into what is happening nationally. Since the mid-1800s, New England had been evenly split at the Massachusetts border, with Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine being more traditional and conservative, and Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut leaning more progressive and liberal. For 150 years, the three northern states had been represented by mostly Republican delegates to Congress, until a significant change occurred around the turn of the century. With the migration of people from southern New England to the north, the political environment of the north has become increasingly purple, if not pure blue. The major cities of northern New England have become liberal strongholds, and due to the high percentage of people living in these cities versus the suburbs, liberals have managed to change the northern states to resemble their southern counterparts. Instead of assimilation, we have had a metamorphosis to the point where New England has become a Blue region where it is becoming more difficult for a Republican to be elected.

What we have experienced in New England is reflected throughout the country. The states that were so attractive for their conservative makeup are being made over, and the natives are fighting hard to hold onto their identity. What Joe Biden and the Democrats did in the last four years by throwing open our southern border was their massive initiative to complete the change in the American political landscape. By letting in 15 million illegals and strategically placing them throughout the country, they could impact the demographics, influence the census, and the resulting redistricting would result in more Democratic members of Congress, making it far more difficult for Republicans to counter the move. This is why the mass deportation of these illegals is so essential to the Right and is being contested so much by the Left. This move by Biden assures that the America of the future is not only more liberal but even more socialist. Democrats played the long game, and Republicans were caught flatfooted with no defense. The possibility of the Communist Mamdani being elected Mayor of New York City and the Socialist Gavin Newsom as President would be a sure sign that the Democrat destruction and remaking of America is complete.
