Kamala Harris Posts Cringe TikTok Stating She Has Not Been ‘Drinking Margaritas On The Beach’

Former Vice President Kamala Harris posted a TikTok video on Thursday asserting that she has not been relaxing and boozing since largely vanishing from public view after losing the presidential election in November.

Harris’ TikTok post appears to be an attempt at the “Who Said That” trend in which users turn their faces away from the camera to obscure their mouths while making bold statements. However, Harris’ mouth can be seen moving as she failed to cover it with her hand throughout the video — which she used to promote her upcoming book and claimed she has been working hard rather than lounging.

“Everyone thinks you’ve been kicking back, drinking margaritas on the beach, but really you’ve been hard at work writing a book, meeting with leaders, thinking about the future of our country,” Harris said, facing away from the camera.

“Who said that?” she jokingly asked, turning back toward the camera.

Harris also announced in a Wednesday statement on X that she would not seek the governorship in California after reports she was considering whether to enter the governor’s race or pursue the presidency in 2028. She wrote that she was excited about working on “helping elect Democrats” nationwide and “sharing more details in the months ahead” about her future aspirations.

Harris launched her brief 2024 presidential campaign after former President Joe Biden dropped out and endorsed her on July 21, 2024. She went on to lose the popular vote and all seven swing states to President Donald Trump.

The former vice president announced on X Thursday that she had written a book on her campaign titled “107 Days” that is set for publication in September.

Comedian Kareem Rahma, in a resurfaced March appearance on “Forbes Top Creators Show,” detailed a strange interview on his “Subway Takes” show with Harris during the campaign that went so badly that it did not get released.

“Her take was really confusing and weird and not good. And so we mutually agreed that we shouldn’t publish it,” Rahma said. “And I got lucky because I didn’t want to be blamed for her losing.”
