Marriage And Homeownership No Longer A Goal

Not so many years ago, it was a natural progression to graduate from high school, enter the military or college, get married, buy a house, have children, and roll the dice that all worked out. You had a rewarding life, with a comfortable retirement. It was all part of the American Dream that was still in vogue a mere forty years ago. How have things changed so dramatically that today, kids may graduate from high school, live far too long with their parents, have no interest in kids, and cannot afford a house? I may not have the answers, but I have my opinions.

Let’s split the topics. Marriage has been destroyed by the same power that destroyed our children’s education. The Great Indoctrination Complex that usurped our education system has succeeded in killing God, Country, marriage, and the urge to reproduce, which is essential to the future of our country. Our “educators” have convinced two generations that God is a myth that is of no use in today’s America. No higher being can help you navigate life; you only need to concentrate on yourself and your needs and wants. They have convinced our young that America is a lie. It was built on the blood and sweat of slaves, and there are two types of people: the haves and have-nots. They have preached that capitalism is bad and that socialism with a strong central government to guide us will replace the broken system of today. They threw out the American Dream for the vision of equity.

Without God, there is no need for marriage. Be with whoever you want, without the artificial need for a man to be with a woman. Man with man, woman with woman, man with dog, it does not matter. It is all about personal preference. Since having children is no longer desirable or affordable, the union of man and woman is obsolete. The Progressives have accomplished their goal. They have obliterated the family unit and forced all to be dependent on “The Man,” the government.

After those few hundred words, thinking about home ownership doesn’t seem very useful. In 1950, over 50% of 30-year-olds were married, had a home, and children. Today, that number is 14% and falling quickly. There are not enough houses, and the price has risen so quickly that it is not even a consideration for many. Just four years ago, a prospective homeowner needed to make $70K even to consider filling out a mortgage application. That number today is $139K. A recent report for Eastern New Hampshire and Southern Maine shows a severe shortage of new homes, and the average selling price is pushing $700,000, with houses lasting only three weeks on the market.

The dynamics must change. The country cannot survive without a flourishing reproductive population, and opening the borders is not the answer. Neither is Socialism nor Communism, despite what Pochahontas says. Indoctrination must be stopped, kids need to be educated, but more importantly, excited and motivated about their future and country. The American Dream needs to be reborn, and these next three years will lay the groundwork for a second chapter in the greatest experiment on earth.
