Trump Officially Ends Support of MTG

President Donald Trump formally withdrew his endorsement of Republican Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Friday.

Trump said he made the decision after weeks of escalating frustration. He pointed to what he described as “record achievements” since returning to the White House and argued that Greene responded to those developments by “complaining” rather than delivering results for her district.

“I am withdrawing my support and Endorsement of ‘Congresswoman’ Marjorie Taylor Greene, of the Great State of Georgia. Over the past few weeks, despite my creating Record Achievements for our Country including, a Total and Complete Victory on the Shutdown, Closed Borders, Low Taxes, No Men in Women’s Sports or Transgender for Everyone, ending DEI, stopping Biden’s Record Setting Inflation, Biggest Regulation Cuts in History, stopping EIGHT WARS, rebuilding our Military, being RESPECTED by every Country in the World (as opposed to being the laughingstock that we were just 12 months ago!), having Trillions of Dollars (Record Setting!),” Trump wrote.

The president said the rift began when he shared polling data indicating Greene would be a weak contender in statewide races for senator or governor. Trump said the data showed her stalled at roughly 12%, and he warned she stood no chance without his backing — a backing he said she “wasn’t about to get.”

“She has told many people that she is upset that I don’t return her phone calls anymore, but with 219 Congressmen/women, 53 U.S. Senators, 24 Cabinet Members, almost 200 Countries, and an otherwise normal life to lead, I can’t take a ranting Lunatic’s call every day,” Trump continued. “I understand that wonderful, Conservative people are thinking about primarying Marjorie in her District of Georgia, that they too are fed up with her and her antics and, if the right person runs, they will have my Complete and Unyielding Support. She has gone Far Left, even doing The View, with their Low IQ Republican hating Anchors. Thank you for your attention to this matter. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Just days ago, Trump publicly blasted Greene after she attacked the administration over domestic policy and his recent foreign-policy moves. When CNN’s Kaitlan Collins pressed him about Greene’s social-media tirade, Trump dismissed her remarks and criticized Greene.

“I don’t know what happened to Marjorie,” Trump said. “She’s a nice woman, but I don’t know what happened. She’s lost her way, I think, but I have to view the presidency as a worldwide situation, not locally. We could have a world that’s on fire where wars come to our shores very easily if you had a bad president.”

Greene previously blasted Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa‘s White House visit on the Marine Corps’ 250th anniversary, posting her criticism Monday on X. She urged the administration to focus on domestic issues, arguing that the White House should prioritize U.S. policy over foreign leaders.
