President Donald Trump selected Pete Hegseth to be his Secretary of War because he’s a decorated warrior, a political outsider, and a fellow steel-spined change agent.
By definition, Hegseth represents a direct threat to defenders of the failed status quo in Washington, the biased mainstream media, and the radical left’s woke mob because he courageously volunteered to reform the Pentagon and return it to its core mission of fighting and winning wars and keeping the American people safe.
The Trump-deranged swamp in D.C. is upside down these days and currently Hegseth finds himself under intense fake news scrutiny due to his outstanding work keeping deadly drugs out of the United States. The entrenched protectors of America’s decay can’t stand common sense and innovation, so when they see our War Department blowing up drug boats in the Caribbean Sea, it’s their job to nitpick, embellish, and manufacture a scandal, even if none exists. The problem with this is that even though official Washington loves obsessing over spotty anonymous sourcing, palace intrigue, and behind-the-scenes process stories, hardworking families support eliminating the international traffickers who specialize in getting our kids addicted to drugs and ruining lives.
Under the no-nonsense leadership of President Trump, the Pentagon has prioritized stopping the flow of dangerous drugs into our towns, neighborhoods, and schools on the high seas before they reach our shores to wreak havoc. What a novel approach; instead of ignoring the problem or just discussing it in polite company, the Trump Administration is treating these cartel-employed animals as the murderous narco-terrorists that they are.
A few Republican U.S. senators like Roger Wicker of Mississippi and Thom Tillis of North Carolina are feeling pressure from the political and media establishment to question the successful operations at a time when they should be applauding the fact that the plan is saving American lives. In fact, President Trump’s decisive action has caused drugs entering the U.S. by the sea to plummet 91 percent. With trust in government as low as it is, prematurely attacking Hegseth for having the audacity to stop drugs from entering America is a real head-scratcher from the perspective of everyday Americans who fully understand the scourge of rampant drug use.
For decades, the low-life criminals on these drug transport vessels have become a massive national security threat to our country. And now, after record numbers of overdoses in the age of fentanyl, a change in direction became abundantly necessary. The American people are sick and tired of career politicians constantly talking about doing something to combat our nation’s drug epidemic but never keeping the promise. Thankfully, Trump and Hegseth have the guts to say “no more” to the intentional poisoning of hundreds of thousands of Americans over the past several years. But sadly, not everyone feels the same way.
The Washington Post felt compelled to concoct a phony controversy recently when it reported that Hegseth allegedly gave an order to kill everybody on a drug boat that had been bombed after it was discovered that the initial attack left two survivors in the water. In just a matter of days, The New York Times of all publications disputed the seemingly erroneous story by reporting Hegseth gave no such follow-up order. The Post’s story resulted in Hegseth being irresponsibly accused of unlawful activity and war crimes even though all involved know the White House has consistently stated that “presidentially designated narco-terrorist groups are subject to lethal targeting in accordance with the laws of war.” That being said, Trump haters are going to hate, even if it means taking the side of international drug traffickers who take great pride in killing our children en masse.
When it comes to keeping the United States of America safe, Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth will never bow to political correctness or biased liberal media pressure. Just like with illegal immigration and reckless open border policies, Trump will turn out to be on the right side of history when it comes to blowing up America-bound boats carrying millions of dollars of deadly drugs targeting our citizens.
With regard to Joe Biden’s border invasion, the president said if you don’t have a border, you don’t have a country, so he put America first and sealed the border in record time. The same can be said of allowing lethal drugs into our homeland undeterred. If you don’t stop the drugs, they will end up destroying our country pill by pill, ounce by ounce, and needle by needle. And once again, Trump is spot on.
In the court of public opinion, no one cares about the sequence in which drug trafficking terrorists are killed. The American people only want to know that dangerous drugs aren’t getting to our neighborhoods and schools anymore. At the end of the day, it’s simple to understand. The individuals being eliminated on the drug vessels made a conscious decision to traffic drugs at the direction of a designated terrorist organization and that’s why they’re dead. We all make consequential decisions in life, and if those dying on boats in the middle of the Caribbean Sea decided not to aid and abet in the killing of thousands upon thousands of Americans, they would be alive today. Once those involved come to grips with the fact that there’s a new sheriff in town, maybe they’ll think twice about getting on the boats.
