Bari Weiss To Hold Town Hall With Erika Kirk For Her First Special At CBS

CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss will hold her first special with Turning Point USA CEO Erika Kirk in an hour-long townhall in mid-December.

Weiss will hold the townhall on Dec. 13 at 8 p.m., where Kirk is expected to open up about the loss of her husband, Charlie, her life, the current political climate and more, according to a press release by CBS’ parent company, Paramount. Kirk will take questions from young evangelicals, religious leaders and from many people across the political spectrum.

“Like so many people around the world, I will never forget the moment that Erika Kirk forgave her husband’s killer,” Weiss said. “I am eager to speak to her – and thrilled to be doing so in front of a group of Americans who I know will elevate the conversation.”

The event will take place before a live audience in New York, according to the press release.

Kirk stepped into the role of CEO of Turning Point USA following the assassination of Charlie on Sept. 10 at Utah Valley University. The widow has since made several public appearances, including her famous speech when she forgave her husband’s alleged killer at his memorial.

Weiss has planned to dramatically shift CBS’ left-wing bias and make the network more efficient. She began by eliminating the “race and culture” unit and has planned on poaching Fox News’ Bret Baier and CNN senior political commentator Scott Jennings, though they have both denied that they will be making the shift.
