A reader chimed in after one of my recent articles. I said ‘chimed in’ to be kind. He really dropped the hammer on me for being too vague in my criticism of the Democratic Party. He condemned me for lacking specifics and called me a hack. Well, I looked past my archive of over 1,800 articles I have published in the last few years, and the thousands of people we reach consistently, to try to get a feel for this gentleman’s writing style and content. As I suspected, he had no online presence available anywhere, and he was basically someone with no experience who wanted to be a critic. Good luck with that, sir.
One of the elements that is sucking the fun out of this political exercise is just how poorly the Democrats are performing at every level, from city/town to state to federal. I have no problem with being tough when it is deserved, but I feel like I am piling on. It is like shooting fish in a barrel, and it is not fun.
I write an opinion piece. If someone needs specifics on the background of a given matter I opine on, then their head is in the sand. If I were specific and listed every misstep or misdeed by a Democrat, the editors would be chopping sections from my articles to save space.
With that being said, there are storylines today that require specifics because of the credibility of the Right’s position, and because the mainstream media is not covering the issue to protect the Democrats. Some of these players, like Ilhan Omar, Tim Walz, or Governor Janet Mills of Maine, deserve to experience what metal cuffs feel like. Somebody, in any of the many cases, deserves accountability. We see time and money wasted on Congressional inquiries that promise to uncover the truth, only to be disappointed when nobody takes the walk of shame.
The fraud case in Minnesota continues to grow in magnitude and spread geographically across the nation, especially in the northeast, including Maine and Massachusetts. One thing each of these locales has in common is how the Democrats are doing backwards gymnastics to defend the Somalis as the victims rather than the masterminds who discovered ways to steal from virtually every social safety net program in existence.
Current estimates are as high as $9 billion in Minnesota, but no level of damage has been estimated in New England, and if Mills operates true to form, she will block any potential investigation. People like Omar and Boston Mayor Wu are working hard to convince the public that the Somali community is an assimilated, hardworking group, and Wu went so far as to call them essential to the success of a diverse Boston. The facts do not back these statements.
Do some Somalis achieve success in America? Absolutely, and some even get elected to Congress after marrying their brother and falsifying their birthdate to defraud the immigration department. Every taxpayer in Minnesota and Maine should hold back their tax payments until this fraud is resolved. Of course, this will not work, as Americans who fail to fulfill their tax obligations will be held accountable. Unfortunately, when it comes to the Somalis, the legal system becomes lame and impotent.
