I mentioned in my last article that the governors of three of the country’s poorest-performing states aspire to be the Democratic nominee for President in 2028. California, Illinois, and Minnesota are all in a death spiral, entirely attributable to mismanagement at the top. And, by the top, I do not mean Donald Trump, even though each of the governors of these states will quickly point a finger at him as the cause of their state’s woes. Each of these states is in a negative migration state, where they are losing population as people are escaping to states that are much more economically, safely, educationally attractive, or less regulated to live in or raise a family.
Each of these states is taxing its residents out the door. They seem far more interested in attracting and protecting illegal aliens than their American residents. Their crime and homeless situations are out of control as they prefer to be sanctuary states rather than law-abiding and safe states. Their welfare programs are out of control as they continue to push for programs and benefits for illegals, who are not entitled or contributing to. You could add New York, Michigan, and New Jersey to this list of states, though their governors are yet to commit to running for the Oval Office in 2028.
Gavin Newsom, JB Pritzker, and Tim Walz do not have a single entry on their resumes that would make them worthy of being considered for the job of President. Yet, each of them can convince the Left base that they are the person to lead America into the future. Reality and facts show they would more likely run her into the ground. So what are we missing as educated citizens and voters to see through the smokescreen and recognize these politicians for what they are: people who are less qualified to run a school milk program than a significant state or the greatest country on Earth? It really is an easy question, and the answer is an honest, unbiased media/press that will ask the tough questions and be fair in what they broadcast/print. An easy solution, but one we will never see.
An example of what I am referring to is the Tim Walz and Somali fraud case in Minnesota. We may be looking at the most significant fraud case in American history, with losses in the billions of dollars. Yet the three legacy networks chose not to cover the story in the first week after it broke. That is not little coverage, but none at all. An obvious case of collusion amongst the heads of these networks, but also a lack of respect for giving the American people the whole story, and letting them decide on the character of those involved.
The Democrats have a very weak bench of candidates, with probably their most qualified, Governor Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania, giving no indication of running. So today, the Left is looking at Newsom, Pritzker, Walz, Sandy Cortez, and Kamala Harris. There is nobody on that list that will keep JD Vance or Marco Rubio up nights, but add a corrupt media as an arm of the Left, and the balance is tilted.
The best we can do is to keep spreading the word. It will take an all-in effort, but we have to be aggressive and consistent in our message, and maybe we can reach some on the Left with the truth.
