Symbolic the Oath Taken Underground

I am not sure whether the oath taken at the stroke of midnight, whether it was done underground, or whether a Quran was used instead of a traditional Bible, is the most symbolic of the devastating era dawning on New York City. New York City woke on Friday under the Socialist control of Zohar Mamdani, who took the oath of office in a private ceremony below ground, in a deserted subway station, at the stroke of midnight, and so begins the demise of the greatest city, not just in America but in the world.

It is further symbolic that the speaker to introduce Momdani at the public ceremonial inauguration was the fellow Socialist Sandy Cortez. She spoke in glowing terms of the new New York City that will flourish under the leadership of Mamdani, even as this week’s stories surfaced of his inability even to staff his administration. Apparently, they have to release more candidates on bail so he can choose from them. It is incredible how bold he is even to name a former defense attorney for the 9/11 terrorists to his staff. We knew this was going to be bad, but none of us could imagine how bad it would be.

As if Cortez was not bad enough, watching Bernie Sanders swear him in at the ceremonial event while Governor Hochul and Letitia James watch on was an overload to the system. The sight of de Blasio and his wife capped it off, as we are still waiting to find the money she stole from the people of NYC.

Mamdani has to stop with the rhetoric and semantics, and the press has to get off this honeymoon and start chronicling the decline of the city. First, let’s drop the Democratic Socialist label. Momdani is a pure Socialist or Communist. Don’t try to mitigate the impact by throwing in the Democratic moniker. Secondly, where is the outrage you unleashed on Elon Musk when you accused him of a Nazi salute by pumping his chest and throwing his arm in a Sieg Heil gesture? Mamdani made the exact same gesture at numerous moments, and you all saw it as endearing.

The line of the day, other than Cortez’s rendition of New York, New York, was Mamdani going full bore communist, saying, “We will replace the frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism.” This is the death of individual identity, personal growth, and accomplishment. What is yours is his and what is his is his. The leaders will flourish while the people will suffer. This era will be another chapter in history where a successful entity built on capitalism, sweat, and blood is torn down by the twisted ideals of a communist who thinks this time we will get it right. There is no right with Communism or Socialism, only the destruction of dreams and wishes for a better life.

It will not be long before New York City falters. The businesses and the wealthy will leave for climates more conducive to growth, and there will be no one left to tax to pay for policies that are more pipe dreams. Services will stop, schools will fail another generation, and those left will take shifts serving each other bagels and burgers. We can only hope that people will learn from this disaster before the midterms. Bernie will go back to Vermont, Cortez to Puerto Rico for a concert, and Hochul to the safety of Albany, and the Emperor, Mamdani, will be left in an abandoned subway station, wondering who to blame.
