“Shark Tank” star Kevin O’Leary described left-wing “CNN NewsNight” panelists as being “nuts” Tuesday , triggering a meltdown from host Abby Phillip and panelists Ana Navarro and Cari Champion.

The panel had been discussing the legal case arising after the FBI seized over 700 boxes of records from the 2020 election from Fulton County, Georgia. After Navarro claimed the Trump administration was “lying,” Phillip gave O’Leary the last word on the subject.

“My last word is, you’re all nuts,” O’Leary said, drawing an indignant reaction from Champion while Newsmax host James Tabacco exclaimed, “Thank you!”

“Guys, guys, please. We’ve got to keep it together here, okay? Honestly, I mean, there’s a way to talk about these things. If you don’t have anything to say, just say that, and I won’t come to you next time,” Phillip said, talking over O’Leary as Navarro chimed in, saying, “You don’t have basic information, Kevin.”

Phillip previously took a harder line against conservatives who took shots at liberals on the panel discussion show she hosts. Phillip banned conservative commentator Ryan James Girdusky after he joked about left-wing commentator Mehdi Hasan’s pager detonating after Hasan called him a “Nazi” during the Oct. 28, 2024, episode of “CNN NewsNight.”

“I want to just address what happened in the last segment first, I want to apologize to Mehdi Hasan for what was said at this table. It was completely unacceptable,” Phillip said at the time. “When we get this discussion started, you’ll see that Ryan is not at the table. There is a line that was crossed there and it’s not acceptable to me, it’s not acceptable to us at this network. We want discussion, we want people who disagree with each other to talk to each other, but when you cross the line of a complete lack of civility, that is not going to happen here on this show.”

Phillip never reprimanded Hasan for the use of the term “Nazi.” Podcaster Katie Miller called Phillip out during the Nov. 28 episode for allowing guests like former Democratic state Rep. Bakari Sellars of South Carolina and podcaster Jennifer Welch to describe her husband, White House deputy chief of staff for policy Stephen Miller, as a “Nazi.”

“You host people on your show all the time who call my husband and myself a Nazi,” Miller told Phillip after Sellars badgered her over a Tucker Carlson interview with Nick Fuentes.

Sellars has appeared on the show since he told former CNN host Don Lemon that Trump supporters were a “cancer” and that the country needed “some fumigation” to address the situation during the Feb. 6 episode of “The Don Lemon Show.”
