Hakeem Sekou Jeffries has been the U.S. Representative for New York’s 8th congressional district since 2013. For some reason, he is the man-in-waiting for the Democratic Party and has been waiting to take the gavel away from the Republicans. Since the reign of Nancy Pelosi, Jeffries has been the heir apparent to the Party leadership role, and watching him for the last 13 years, I have no idea why. He has no charisma, he is not a smooth talker, and he has a chip on his shoulder the size of the Empire State Building. Being a man of color from New York City appears to be his only calling card. After his derogatory comments this week about our military, those attributes may not be enough to get him to his promised land.
As Minority Leader, Jeffries is one of the Gang of Eight who represent Congress whenever the sitting President needs to inform Congress of impending actions. That was the case over the weekend when Trump was obligated to inform Congress of his intention to attack and annihilate the country of Iran and those who are in control of Iran and its people. Upon leaving the briefing, Jeffries took the time to point out to the media that American forces were going to fail in their mission in Iran. He is talking about the best-equipped and trained fighting force on earth, which, under the watchful eyes of Trump, Rubio, and Hegseth, recently extracted Maduro from Venezuela without major casualties or equipment lost. Nobody in Washington, D.C., should ever utter the words “failure” and “U.S. troops” in the same breath. Hakeem Jeffries, with his New York arrogance, did just that. Hakeem is quick with the barbs and the shots at Trump, but rather ineffective for his time in Congress. These are some of Jeffries’ prize accomplishments:
Significant Legislation Authored or Championed
Legislative Focus and Other Actions
As a member of the House Judiciary Committee, Jeffries has focused extensively on:
I am sure that the criminalswho are back on the street, the starving musicians, and the Pakistani women are all champions of and thankful for Hakeem Jeffries. There appears to be a pattern among Leftist leaders and spokespeople. Women and people of color appear to have a disproportionate role in leadership, which leads you to wonder if this is done to isolate them from truth and accountability.
