Actions Inside the US

White House

The White House posted a video in which President Trump gave an update on Operation Epic Fury.

The president says the operation could go on for 4 weeks.

Congress

House Speaker Johnson announced Sunday afternoon that there will be a House vote on DHS funding sometime this week. Also, a vote on the Democrats’ war powers resolution on Thursday, which they intend to use to stop Operation Epic Fury. This is likely an agreement to allow the WPR bill vote as long as the DHS vote happens. This does not mean that either will succeed, but both bills will get an up or down vote.

Iranian Reaction/Retaliation

Countries Iran has Attacked During the Conflict:

Iran has retaliated against Operation Epic Fury by attacking civilian areas and US military facilities in Middle East countries.

3 US Service Members have been killed and 5 wounded so far in Operation Epic Fury. The losses reportedly happened at Camp Arifjan in Kuwait.

US Military Facilities Struck During Operation:

Iran has attacked at least two vessels attempting to cross the Strait of Hormuz. Maersk and other shipping companies have announced that they will no longer attempt to traverse the strait and are anchoring on both sides.

What Today’s Actions/Results Mean

Congressional Democrats are pulling focus off of their ‘defund DHS’ effort due to backlash over safety. They are turning that energy to a war powers resolution to shut down Operation Epic Fury, despite the early success of the mission. Democrats apparently need someone to get nuked by a terrorist regime in order to do anything – unless the president is a Democrat, in which case, zero justification is required.

World Reaction

United Kingdom

Britain has granted the United States permission to use UK bases for strikes to take out Iran’s ballistic missiles. This is reported to have been in direct response to a US request to use said bases.

This article is a series of daily journals that will be updated throughout each day that the operation continues. A new post will be started at the beginning of each day.
