US Marine Allegedly Steals Anti-Tank Arsenal To Sell On America’s Streets

A federal grand jury in Arizona has indicted a United States Marine for allegedly stealing a Javelin Missile System and other munitions to sell on the streets of the state.Cpl. Andrew Paul Amarillas, 23, is accused of stealing military ammunition and a Javelin anti-tank missile system from Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, where he worked as an Ammunition Technician Specialist, according to the indictment filed in Arizona District Court. Prosecutors say Amarillas transported the weaponry and munitions to Arizona, where he sold them to unnamed co-conspirators in a plot uncovered by an undercover law enforcement operation.

Investigators traced lot numbers on ammunition purchased by undercover officers from Arizona companies back to Camp Pendleton, determining that Amarillas personally “signed out the stolen U.S. military Javelin Missile System and some of the stolen U.S. military ammunition,” according to the indictment. Amarillas allegedly conspired to steal from the base for over three years, between February 2022 and November 2025.

The indictment outlines texts between Amarillas and “an unindicted co-conspirator,” in which the Marine wrote, “just [got] some javs and some other ones” and “[I] have 2 launchers that [I] think you’d like, if you want to take a look tomorrow.”

Prosecutors said that law enforcement seized a Javelin Missile System that Amarillas sold, which was also signed out by Amarillas at Camp Pendleton. According to Arizona Family, prosecutors indicated that there could be “about 2 million rounds of M855” ammunition unaccounted for.

A spokesperson for Camp Pendleton referred the Daily Caller News Foundation to Training and Education Command’s Training and Education Command, who did not immediate respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.
