Fire Truck Careens Into Los Angeles Building In Out-Of-Control Overturn

Two Los Angeles firefighters suffered minor injuries Tuesday evening after a fire truck lost control and flipped into the side of a building.

The crash occurred in the Sunland neighborhood and was reported around 6:45 p.m. PT at 10500 N. Mcvine Ave and footage from Lavash Bar-B-Que shows the truck suddenly losing control and overturning into the side of a building, according to KABC. The vehicle landed next to an H&R Block building and damaged three parked cars, but it is not clear if the building suffered serious damage.

Two of the damaged cars were parked, and the other car was stuck under the fire truck after the crash, the outlet reported.

“I heard like a loud explosion, and then I actually felt like a little tremble, like it shook,” an employee from the Panda Express next door told KABC. The crash caused the nearby businesses to close early for the evening.

Officials confirmed that the fire truck was responding to a structure fire and no civilians were hurt in the incident, according to a Tuesday press release from the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD).

As of Wednesday afternoon, the department has not yet revealed the identities of two firefighters. They have been taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries, per the LAFD’s release.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is still investigating the cause of the crash, according to KABC.

The LAPD and the LAFD each did not respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comments.
