Just When You Think They Cannot Go Any Lower, Hakeem Steps to the Microphone

It was 10 years ago that Michelle Obama, the former First Lady and future President, whenever she wants it, extolled her Party that when they go low, we’ll go high. It was about as lame a line as the image of her holding up a sign saying “# bring back our girls”, urging the safe return of nearly 300 Nigerian school girls who were abducted by the jihadist terrorist group, Boko Haram, in April 2014. The effort at foreign policy by FLOTUS was feeble, and the 276 girls have never been recovered. Nobody got either message.

Hakeem Jeffries stepped to the microphone this week, surrounded by a cast of Black Democratic members of Congress, and stomped all over Michelle’s demand. He showed that there is no low point too low for his Party and that they truly are the Party of anger, hate, and anti-Americans policy. His message that day was to call for a boycott of all collegiate athletics by all young Black athletes as a way of protesting the recent realignment of congressional districts by many Red states and also the recent decision by the United States Supreme Court that no redistricting can be done on the basis of race. Hakeem showed that everything in the Democratic Party is done based on race. But in one of the most blatant examples of projection, Hakeem pointed a finger at Republicans and, as usual, called the whole deplorable bucket racists.

On May 19, 2026, the NAACP launched its “Out of Bounds” campaign, which was immediately backed by the Congressional Black Caucus. It urges Black athletes, their families, recruits, alumni, fans, and consumers to withhold athletic and financial support from public universities in eight Southern states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. Note that these are all states with SEC schools that rely heavily on Black athletes for their elite programs, and in return, give many Black athletes a ticket to the professional ranks and fortunes beyond their dreams.

Jeffries called it a “Jackie Robinson moment” and an “unprecedented response” to what he described as “Jim Crow-like, racially oppressive tactics” in those states. He obviously does not comprehend that much of the redistricting was being done to reverse previous efforts that did consider race when drawing district lines. If this call to action by the Black politicians was not so serious, it would be laughable in its pure stupidity, and it uses young Black athletes as pawns in their continued quest for more power. This plan is attempting to influence athletes, both male and female, to set aside their one true shot at financial freedom. Athletics may be the only option for success for these athletes, and Jeffries and the NAACP have no problem destroying the dreams of these young people as a means to support another ill-fated, poorly thought-out plan from the Democratic Party.

With policy decisions like the “No Representation, No Recruitment, No Revenue.” by the NAACP, turning their backs on fraud within the social welfare programs, which primarily benefit Brown and Black people, and ignoring the desire of over 85% of the population for Voter ID, the Democrats continue to negatively impact the lives of people they profess to stand with. The Democrats are the true deplorables who think their power comes from the temporary oppression of minority groups and then asking for their vote to keep them in office. Try as they may, their efforts are not working on a significant number of Americans who want to MAGA.
