Foreigners Fall In Love With America While Visiting For The World Cup

Soccer fans from around the world have been expressing their amazement of America while visiting for the first time to attend the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Oliver Henry, a British content creator, recently went viral after documenting his experience traveling to the United States for the first time. Henry came stateside after he was invited to watch England play Croatia in Dallas during the global soccer tournament.

The creator received attention from President Donald Trump after posting a video on X stating, “We owe America a huge apology, because America is nothing like what the media tells us. Everyone is so friendly, everyone is so accommodating, and I’ve honestly had the best time.”

Trump reposted the video — and what Henry thought was just a trip to the U.S. to watch the World Cup turned into an invitation to meet arguably the most powerful man in the world.

“I now understand the American dream,” Henry wrote on X, while sharing a video of him shaking Trump’s hand.

“This sort of thing could only happen in America. As an Englishman I never really understood what America has to make it ‘the land of opportunity.’ But the results speak for themselves,” Henry continued in the Thursday post.

Meanwhile, a viral German soccer fan, known only as Freddy, gained public recognition after his posts went viral documenting his first experience in America.

Freddy has documented his experiences going to beloved American chains, including Buc-ee’s, Texas Roadhouse, Waffle House and Target. He also got to tour the International Space Station with NASA and LSU.

When leaving Texas, he posted on X in front of a Texas Roadhouse with the Lone Star State flag writing, “Thank you Texas. The hospitality here is something else.”

Nick Adams, Special Presidential Envoy for American Tourism, Exceptionalism, and Values, told Fox News Digital regarding Freddy, “I think it’s really important we recognize people that truly love and appreciate our country that are not Americans.”

“People that genuinely come here and feel a great affection for the American people and the American way of live, and all of the things that make us so unique and exceptional,” he added. “There is no place like America. We are the largest, loudest, and most exciting destination on Earth.”

Freddy is a fan of Ella Langley, a popular American country music artist, and got the opportunity to meet her while visiting the United States. Adams also invited Freddy for a tour of the State Department and the White House, according to Fox News Digital.

“Were unrivaled. Were unmatched. Were unparalleled in landscapes and offerings. Whatever you’re into, whatever you like, America’s got it,” Adams told the outlet.

Foreign visitors have been amazed by the relative abundance the U.S. has to offer from Walmart to Bass Pro Shops, sparking several viral videos of travelers documenting their first time experiencing American life.

One iconic American item that appears to be popular among these visitors is ranch dressing. This has prompted the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to issue a warning to travelers to pack the condiment in their checked bags, so it does not get disposed of in airports.

“If you’re visiting for a very large sporting event & you happen to discover RANCH while you’re here… pls pack it in your CHECKED BAG on the way home,” the TSA’s X account wrote in a June 18 post.

Visitors from Scotland, Germany, Japan, England, Ireland, and France have all been documenting their experiences of falling in love with various aspects of the United States.

The White House created a montage video of clips of these travelers visiting the U.S. for the World Cup and posted it to X on Wednesday adding the message, “America is SO back.”
