Cornell 7: The End Result of Modern Feminism

When college students live out the ideals of modern feminism, the results are horrifying.

Last month, a Jane Doe filed a lawsuit alleging that she had been gang raped by Cornell University students. “Cornell 7” refers to the number of men she has accused of inappropriate behavior, although not all are accused of rape. The incident occurred in October 2024 when the woman was a sophomore at the school. What isn’t disputed is that the woman engaged in sex acts with multiple men at a Chi Phi fraternity party over several hours. Alcohol and drugs were involved.

After the party, Jane Doe exchanged texts with Jonathan Newell, a man she now claims sexually assaulted her. He apologized for “how things went down the other night.” He blamed drugs and alcohol for his inability to “shut it down and kick people out before it got way out of hand.”

“At the end of the day non(e) of the sexual stuff was illegal and honestly i really liked being w u and matt,” she texted back. She added, “Our body, our choice.”

That didn’t stop rumors from swirling around campus. In a text thread with the man who invited her to the party, she wrote, “My reputation is destroyed and I’m utterly ashamed.” In the same thread, she added, “Everyone needs to grow up because sexuality and sex and (stuff) is changing and stuff like this is going to become more common. i’m also really open minded tho. i love u king.”

It was only after Jane Doe found out that she wasn’t invited to the Chi Phi Halloween party that she reported what happened to campus police. Authorities investigated but didn’t bring any charges.

“Jane Doe’s statement described her participation in drug use and sexual conduct as voluntary, conscious, and consensual,” Tompkins County District Attorney Matthew Van Houten said in a statement about why he didn’t initially bring charges.

After her lawsuit was filed, students at Cornell have been protesting their school. Vandals recently broke windows at a university administrative building. Someone wrote “Smash the patriarchy” on the wall.

That’s an odd demand because Cornell is about as far from a patriarchy as one could imagine. It’s an Ivy League school awash in leftist dogma like “diversity and inclusion,” land acknowledgements and pretending men can be women. Liberal students outnumber conservative ones by at least a 5-to-1 ratio. Cornell Health offers a guide to “Sexual pleasure: Find the ‘sweet spot’ and directs students to Planned Parenthood.

The sexual hedonism at Cornell wasn’t the patriarchy, but the explicit goal of modern feminism.

In her book, “The Dialectic of Sex,” Shulamith Firestone attacked “the sexual repressions necessary to maintain” the biological family. She had special vitriol for the “patriarchal nuclear family.” She wished for the “sexual freedom of all women and children. Now they can do whatever they wish sexually. There will no longer be any reason not to.”

Now, think about Jane Doe’s situation. What happened was repulsive and morally skewed — even if everything was consensual.

That’s because Firestone is wrong. Men and women aren’t interchangeable. They view sex differently and not just because women can get pregnant. Sex isn’t merely a physical interaction. It creates a deeper and more intimate connection than a handshake. As the Bible puts it, the two shall become one flesh. This explains why orgies aren’t liberating but degrading, and society should frown on them.

This is why passing a law won’t prevent another Cornell 7 situation. What’s needed is to reject modern feminism and restore the societal standard it destroyed — sex should be between one man and one woman for one lifetime.
