Obama, Bush and Beck all head to Chicago this week.

On Wednesday George W. Bush will be speaking in Elgin Illinois at the inaugural World Leaders Forum at Judson University in a conference titled, Free Enterprise: The Dream of all Free People.  On Thursday Glenn Beck will bring his theatrical stage show to the Chicago theater with his now famous Glenn Beck Live show.  Also on Thursday, President Obama will be in Chicago once again with three Chicago fundraisers. They don’t call Chicago  ” The Windy City ” just based on the winds blowing off the shores of lake Michigan. Whern the wind is out of the Northeast, it comes down the corridor created by lakes Ontario and Eerie, which gives Illinois the much talked about lake effect snowstorms. This week the largest portion of  that wind will be indoors, in the form of political rhetoric and campaign propaganda. Which ever side of the political spectrum a person resides on, one common thread will link all three of these functions later on this week in Chicago: They will all be raking in big money. Whoever said it isn’t about the money, when talking about why people get involved in politics today ?

Glenn Beck Live tickets are going for a reasonable $35 to $95 dollars for the 8 pm show.  That is a pretty much standard price for an evening of entertainment, and can be considered to be quite a bargain, when we consider Glenn Beck’s star-power today.

Don’t miss out – until you’ve seen this side of Glenn Beck, you only know half the story. Courtesy of Glenn beck.com:

And from NBC Chicago we see big money politics on display this week in Chicago :

In Elgin, Bush serves as keynote speaker for Judson’s conference with a presentation called “Free Enterprise: The Dream of All Free People.” He’ll also answer audience questions during a moderated Q&A before a panel addressing “the value of free enterprise and share their perspectives as entrepreneurs.”

Tickets to the one-day event are $275 for general admission. VIP tickets cost $2,000 and include a chance to meet Bush during a pre-event soiree with appetizers and a possible formal photo op with the former president.

On Thursday, Obama launches a trio of campaign fundraising efforts. Two of President Obama’s events are pricey parties at MK Chicago and N9ne, and the third is a lower-priced shindig at Navy Pier.

Bulls star Derrick Rose is scheduled to make an appearance at Navy Pier, according to the Chicago Tribune. Tickets to the 6:30 p.m. event are $250 and can be ordered at my.barackobama.com/April14Chicago.

Funds raised benefit the Democratic National Committee and Obama’s campaign. According to the web invitation, the first $5,000 of a contribution goes to Obama for America, and the next $30,800 goes to the Democratic National Committee.

As an added footnote about President Obama’s fundraisers, at his site you can not buy Obama bumper stickers , t-shirts or yard signs, but you must make a  donation to his campaign to show your support here. yes indeed, it truly is all about the money.
