Gingrich gets weepy when talking about his mom

At a Des Moines town hall on Friday, presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich got a bit teary-eyed when he was talking about his mother:

Later in her life she ended up in a long-term care facility. She had bipolar disease and depression…My whole emphasis on brain science comes in directly from dealing with the real problems of real people in my family. And so it’s not a theory. It’s, in fact, my mother.
