In 1982, President Reagan directed the Grace Commission to “work like tireless bloodhounds to root out government inefficiency and waste of tax dollars.”

Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) is the legacy of the Grace Commission with a mission to eliminate waste, mismanagement, and inefficiency in the federal government.

The following video is an interview with CAGW President, Tom Schatz who speaks of just one incident of taxpayer waste. The Department of Agriculture spent TWO MILLION taxpayer dollars on a program that net the hiring of just one intern.

This example makes it clear why so many are against additional government spending without better management of current budgets.
